This 1959 Porsche 356A Coupe replica was completed in Southern California in November of 2021 and comes finished in Dolomite Silver over a black leather interior. It was acquired by its current owner in January 2022 and is titled as a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle. It features an air-cooled 1835cc flat-four-cylinder engine installed in August 2023 (by the master mechanics at Fisher Buggies, Tampa, FL). The rear wheels are driven by way of a 4-speed manual transaxle (4:11 ratio) ring & pinion trannie (sourced from a 1968 Beetle) long axle, and many original Porsche parts including 914 gauges, a 356 steering wheel, various Porsche trim pieces, pop-out rear windows, and more.

The Coupe features matching bumpers, dual side mirrors, Porsche badging, and a set of staggered-width Fuchs wheels dressed in Kuhmo tires sized 175/55/15 in front and 195/55/15 in the rear. The finish is extremely glossy and very well preserved following a ceramic coating in the spring of 2024. The vehicle has received multiple awards at local and major car shows for best overall, best in show, and best import/replica. Car is not driven far, fast, or hard only going to the occassional local shows. Following the engine install and engine break-in period, the oil was changed and valves were adjusted in April 2025.

The cabin features light grey upholstery, and the front seats are trimmed in black leather with Porsche crested headrests. Details include a Porsche 356 steering wheel, an analog clock, Porsche rally clocks, original Porsche rear windows, and a custom sound system including a Pioneer Bluetooth radio head unit and speakers. The mileage on the new power plant is <200 miles - the installed speedo was not reset when car was built nor when new engine went in.

A collection of build records and maintenace invoices will accompany the sale. Recent major service include a tune-up, valve adjustments, carburetor and brake service. This 1959 Coupe balances the lightweight driver-focused attitude of the 356 with the versatility of the Speedster. The combination of interior and exterior details, coupled with the distinct lines of this year's offering, has made it a proven and definitive show-winner!
