DESCRIPTION:
For Sale: 1969 Ford Fairlane 500 Convertible – Classic Cruiser
Up for sale is my 1969 Ford Fairlane 500 Convertible, a true classic with a 351 Windsor V8 and an Edelbrock 1906 four-barrel carb. This Fairlane is all stock and regularly maintained, offering a smooth and reliable ride. 1 of 2,045 built and painted in the rare code E color Aztec Aqua with white interior and convertible top.
I am asking or best offer.
The car is finished in Aztec Aqua with a fresh white convertible top, complemented by recently redone upholstery. Door cards and armrests are original. The engine was rebuilt approximately 40,000 miles ago, and it starts on the first try with no leaks. The original FMX automatic transmission is still in place, though it has developed a shudder when hot.
Mechanically, the car has been well cared for. New front and rear springs were installed about 20,000 miles ago, and the brake booster and master cylinder are brand new. The power-assisted steering was rebuilt approximately 5,000 miles ago, and all four tires are new.
This is a comfortable cruiser that has always been covered, garaged, and well-maintained. I am the third owner, and the car was originally sold at Manning Motor Sales in Rochelle, Illinois, before making its way to California in the mid-1970s.
I am selling because I am moving. This is a unique, head-turning classic that deserves a great home. Serious inquiries only—no low-ballers. Car is offered locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. No warranty implied or offered. This is a 56 year old car.
