Another fine Mopar from Topshelfmopars!

This is a great example of a very rare and desirable investment grade classic car. Its a 1970 FC7, 383 4 speed, air grabber hood Plymouth Roadrunner.

BEEP BEEP!!

If you are in the market for a ’70 Roadrunner that stands head and shoulders above the rest you’d be hard pressed to find a better example than this one. Please, compare it to others on the market right now and youll find that there is very little available to compare it to. Most cars are either fully restored cars that are k and up or project cars that need what this car has already had done.
Per Galen Govier white book Chrysler only built 5839 total 383 4 spd coupes in 1970. Total coupe production was 15,716 and of that total only 5.5% (864 cars) were InViolet (Plum crazy for DODGE) purple. How many of the 864 cars that are left is anybody’s guess but the common belief is a 70% attrition rate which would leave about 30% or 259 cars left in the Hi impact color FC7.
This is a nicely optioned example on its way to being restored back faithfully to its original as sold condition per the fender tag. It is also nicely appointed with N96 Air grabber hood, D21 4 speed manual transmission, FC7 purple paint, V6X black longitudinal tape stripe, V21 hood performance treatment. It has just had a complete and thorough restoration of the entire body.
All the rust repair that this car needed has been expertly repaired with AMD panels. See pix for the progression/evolution that this car went thru. We cut out all the rusty floors, trunk, quarters, ect, (all frame rails were good) sent the car to the blaster then spent a couple hours blowing all the sand out then sprayed the entire body top to bottom with 2 coats of PPG epoxy primer (including the insides of the rear frame rails and torsion bar cross member-something the factory didn’t even do) then fit and installed all the new sheet metal. We also seam sealed all the joints on trunk and floor pans same as factory did and then sprayed everything with 2 coats of the factory FC7 purple including the entire underside. The car is bullet proof now.
See the pic with all the loose parts on the ground for ALL the parts we have that are not currently attached to the car. We don’t have ANY other parts. All fasteners are bagged and tagged. It has a very nice grill. Hood, doors, fenders and deck lid are original and in excellent shape. The LH door was blasted and primed. The RH door is from a donor car and was left in the original paint so buyer can see how nice the door really is. Both front and rear windshield channels were blasted and primed. All glass is present and in good shape except windshield and LH vent window assy. I do have the LH door glass and all hardware inc regulator to install it. We cleaned and regreased the quarter glass and door glass regulators when we had the quarters off so they roll up and down real nice. We installed new quarters on both sides. New one piece trunk floor, trunk extensions, rear cross member, outer wheel houses and full floor pans. Both front and rear suspension were blasted at same time body was and sprayed in 2 coats of black PPG epoxy primer.
Engine is a ’68 D 383 with 906 heads and the original 2806031 intake and correct HIPO exhaust manifolds. The transmission is a correct 23 spline A833 4 speed out of another ’69 Roadrunner. Both will need rebuilt.
Interior is fairly complete minus rear seat. Original Pistol grip Hurst shifter with wood grain handle is still pretty nice with good chrome. No rear bumper but brackets are included.
Cars like this dont come up very often anymore. Don’t let this be the car you wish you had bought when you had the chance.
