1972 Ford LTD big block

Delivered new on July 4 1972 in Haines City Florida. Originally a LTD Brougham with a factory 429, 9 inch rear end and c 6 automatic transmission. I bought the car in late 2016. the body was pretty solid, the big block motor barely ran and the interior was in good shape. Fuel tank replaced. 429 totally rebuilt. Alumuinum heads, roller rockers, Aluminum intake, aluminum radiator,Holley 780, electronic ignition, sroked and bored, now, 514 cu. in.. C-6 automatic rebuilt with shift kit. Coil over shocks in front, air shocks in back. Heavy duty anti roll bar installed front and rear. New traction lock with 3.50 gears replaced 2.75 open axle. Extensive body work to remove LTD trim and fix small issues. The best paint and clearcoat were used. A/C was reworked with rotary compressor and blows cold. Built as a tribute to the hero car in "WHITE LIGHTNING" A 1973 BURT REYNOLDS FILM. The car in the film was a 1971 custom 500/Galaxie sedan.
