DESCRIPTION:
I'm the 2nd owner of this 1976 Volkswagen camper van, and have been for 30 years.
It's approximately 6 years and 6,000 miles on a new manual 4-speed transmission and on the rebuilt air cooled engine. Vanny's been garage kept ever since.
I recently replaced the entire smog system, so it's 100% legal passing California smog.
Camper pop-up works & looks excellent, has side screen windows for airflow and viewing, and front screen access to the over-cab storage. The top bunk bed sleeps two adults, as does the sofa bench when opened up.
I have the original Factory Manual, all original window camper curtains, and the original hammock bed that hangs in the cab when camping. The passenger seat turns backward for use while parked. The bench back seat has a good size storage area underneath. There are also a good amount of other storage cabinets in the van.
One of my favorite things is the built in cooler. It not only keeps things cold for an extended time, but it self-drains. It's a great place to keep food cold and dry. Fuel and speedometer gages work, and the original dash clock still ticks and keeps accurate time, too.
There are things that need upkeep at this age, but I know what they are and I can tell you so much about the van, inside and out.
Original paint, with some touch up by the original owner. Not restored, just naturally kept, as recommended.
Please, serious inquiries only. .
