Dana 35 in the front. Completely stripped and rebuilt with new G2 4:10 gears, new bearings, gasket. Stock open carrier setup.
New universal joints and yokes front and rear
Front locking hubs were completely rebuilt with new components
Transmission skid plate was lowered about 1.5" to lessen the sharp angle from the lift kit. This keeps the universal joints much happier. Also the rear axle spring mounts were cut and re welded and a slightly different angle, again to keep driveshaft geometry simple without sharp angles.
Engine and Transmission
Engine is a AMC 258 inline six cylinder. It was rebuilt by a custom jeep shop in Cocoa Beach, FL. Engine has nice AMC valve cover, Hedman dual headers. HOWELL FUEL INJECTION kit (new) is installed and is hands down one of the best improvements on an old CJ. Starts and runs consistently, it's great. Custom exhaust, stainless steel with single exit out drivers side. Lots of people ask if it is a V8 = )
Transmission is a rare Borg Warner T-18a 4 speed. First gear is 6.32 : 1 and reverse is 7.44 : 1. Transmission was rebuilt by a local shop in West Palm Beach, FL.

Custom 3 stage paint color
Custom dashboard.
Also have the compressor and locker switches mounted in the dash. Painted gloss black.
Corbeau seats with 4 point harness.
Aftermarket shift knobs: HURST shifter on transmission and skull shifter on transfer case
Stainless steel hinges, hood latches, etc throughout the exterior body and on interior
New Bestop Bimini top with custom rear cover so you can zip the attachment onto the bimini top if you hit rain. This keeps the sound system and you dry.
Used Bestop half doors with removeable upper half.
New Tuffy center console with elbow pad. Lockable unit. Dual cup holders.
New windshield wiper system (everything)
Blue LED's under the seat make a nice accent light at night time
SOUNDS SYSTEM
2,400 watts all MTX components (1200 watts RMS)
Component speakers are 6.5" run on a MTX dual channel amp, bridged, 100 watts RMS per channel, total of 4 MTX component speakers
Two speakers are mounted in aftermarket enclosure under the dash, in front of the transmission cutout. The other two are in custom boxes 1 each, behind the seats.
The component speaker amp is securely mounted under a false floor in the passenger floor board.
In the rear there is a large box, fairly discrete. Dual 10" MTX subwoofers and a single MTX D class amp pushing 1,000 watts RMS at 1 ohm. The speaker box is 3/4" MDF. The amplifier is mounted above the speaker box (MDF), but under a steel cover also Line-X'ed to match. The amp is completely hidden. There is plenty of airflow for venting and again, removing (stealing) this would be a bit of a project. It's definitely pretty secure.
1 Farad rockford fosgate cap inline with the class D amp.
Sony Head Deck with CD player and Aux input cable for your iPod. No longer works

This jeep has usually/mostly been stored in a garage.
