DESCRIPTION:
For sale is my freshly restored 1990 Ford Aerostar.
I purchased this Van with 30 thousand ORIGINAL miles (from the original owner that worked for Ford motor company) and spared no expense to bring it up to mechanically perfect condition. Since then, I have travelled extensively with it in and out of the United States.
The first phase of the restoration was purely mechanical, as it was meant to travel incredibly long distances. This meant going through the entire engine replacing items such as the alternator, hoses, gaskets, rubber items and brakes all around. A new radiator was installed and a heat shield added to the transmission to avoid excess heat on long road trips. All fluids were replaced and repeated visits were made to my mechanic during subsequent road trips in order to continue improving on the engine, transmission (mainly fluid changes and minor alterations to improve reliability), suspension, tires, electrical etc. The list is extensive as I have owned the van for years now and continue driving it.
The second phase included replacing the interior headliner, new front windshield, front and rear bumper and a brand new paint job. Essentially, this Aerostar has been completely restored to its original condition (which was not hard to do given the condition that I purchased it in). Keep in mind that I have only put 30 thousand miles on this van since I purchased it and those have been exclusively highway miles.
Also, the interior of this van was in perfect condition when purchased in terms of carpet, seats, dashboard etc (and has been kept as such). In fact, I have the stock mid and rear seats (which, again, are in perfect condition) in addition to having a new set of Eddie Bauer custom seats installed that fold into a bed for overnight camping.

The van seats 7 people comfortably and is very plush inside making for a very comfortable ride. The glass is in excellent condition all around and the rims have been completely refurbished.
