1991 Mazda MX-5 Miata Special Edition

Just in time for Summer fun drives, this 18K mile 1991 Mazda MX-5 Miata is production number 2,525 of 4,000 Special Edition examples produced for the model year, all of which were finished in British Racing Green over tan leather upholstery. The car is powered by a 1.6-liter DOHC inline-four linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is all stock with no modifications, retaining its value. This NA Miata includes 14″ Daisy alloy wheels, a black soft top, pop-up headlights, a tonneau cover, power steering, pop-up headlights, a wooden Nardi shift knob, a CD stereo, headrest speaker, air conditioning, car cover, original window sticker, owner’s manual, service records and a clean California title in my name.
The car is equipped with power steering, an independent double wishbone suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars, and four-wheel disc brakes. The bucket seats are trimmed in tan leather, and feature speakers inset in the headrests. Special Edition cars were equipped with a wood Nardi shift knob and handbrake grip along with Special Edition badging, and additional features include a CD/Cassette stereo, stainless steel sill plates, air conditioning, and power windows.
The 1.6-liter DOHC inline-four was factory-rated at 116 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque. The timing belt was replaced in August 2020, the battery was replaced in June 2024, and an oil change was performed in August 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The clutch master and slave cylinder were replaced in December 2020.
This is a rare, low mileage and pampered example of a Japanese automotive icon.
