1993 Mazda Miata LE - Newly Rebuilt Engine

Newly rebuilt engine with less than 1000 miles on it. 1.6L DOHC 4 cylinder engine with 0.003 inches off the head for better compression.

5 speed manual transmission
Viscous Limited Slip Differential

New parts include:
-High-performance clutch
-Mishimoto radiator
-Belts, coolant and vaccum hoses
-Fan, fan clutch, fan switch
-Fuel injectors, fuel filter, fuel pump strainer
-Valves
-All gaskets (valve cover, head, etc.)
-Battery
-Thermostat
-Catalytic converter
-Steering rack and pinion
-All four shocks

New fluids replaced during rebuild:
-Engine coolant
-Transmission gear oil
-Power steering fluid
-Brake fluid in both master and slave cylinder
-Engine oil- oil changed again after break-in at 500 miles

Brakes, rotors, tires, spare tire all in good condition

Engine machined by HDS Auto Parts and Machine in Escondido

Engine rebuilt and installed by Miramar Auto Repair in San Diego- 3 year/36000 mile warranty on labor and shop-provided parts (good until January 2028)

Engine was rebuilt in January 2025 at 300512 miles and will go another 300k more.

Passed smog March 2025

30mpg highway/25mpg city

Maintenance is easy and parts are readily available.


Only 1500 of these were sold in the USA. Only 500 came with original hard top.

Cracks in dash, air dam, spoiler. Worn carpeting, shift boot, weather stripping. Small tear in driver's headrest and back of canvas top. Paint is dulled.

Currently being driven- odometer shows approximately 301200 miles.
