DESCRIPTION:

I'm selling my 1997 Jeep Wrangler. It is perhaps the perfect Jeep. The 97-03 model years are the last of the small off road Jeep Wranglers before they went luxury suv. Has the big engine and smooth automatic (I had wanted the manual, but read some reviews that the clutch of these was a bit jank, but the automatics were tanks and pretty smooth - I havent had any need for complaint. I've really enjoyed this jeep but am moving where I cant take it. If there is a car in 40 years that I look back and wish I still owned - I suspect it will be this one.

Brand new tires (largest that fit without requiring a lift kit), new exhaust manifold. New Battery. Recent tune up and series of small fixes (new wipers, new wiper fluid pump, replaced bulbs etc. It's running well. Low mileage. Recently pass DC emissions so will pass emissions anywhere. Clean title in hand.

Has a split in the interior vinyl (plastic?) in one of the door panels (pictured), has had a variety of modifications added and removed over the years - has a basic am/fm cassette player that a previous owner placed in when taking out their unit. Has aftermarket speakers installed currently though. Looks like had additional exterior lights that have been removed at some point. Was repainted in black with a matte rubbery coating (almost like Rhino liner) which was done pretty well and looks good. No a/c - it was apparently an option in 1997, that was opted against in this case. Investigated it and they make kits for ~800-1000, and takes about a day to install. Speedometer recently stopped working - not sure if the cable needs graphite or if it broke, but this has triggered a yellow check engine light. Can show that that is the only code causing the light. Right side door can only be opened from the inside at the moment, and the passenger side seat belt is frayed.

Will sell for cash, money order or certified check. No trades, no crypto, or other such nonsense. If interested, respond to this add - and specifically mention your interest in the Jeep - messages like "Is the Car still available?" I will assume to be a scam bot and ignore - I only want to talk to people and the smarter scam bots ;). I'll largely respond in the evenings. Sold as is.
