DESCRIPTION:

1999 Lexus LX470 with 238k miles. Don't let that scare you. This has the legendary 4.7L Toyota V8 known for going 400k miles+. I've owned this vehicle for over 3 years and have invested many upgrades as well as mechanical updates. This is a true road warrior. The tires make it stable and hugs turns vs. stock rims and tires (available) which tend to be slushy in turns and wobbly when under load. Ice Cold AC with new Toyota OEM AC system installed Jan 2022. The interior is very nice. Slight tear in driver seat, you don't see it when your driving :) All other seats are in perfect condition. Has dual TV's behind headrests. There are no 3rd row seats. When I bought the vehicle I removed them. I have one of the seats, the other was in bad shape and sent to trash. I've driven this car through Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Arkansas, Wisconsin and Minnesota. This is an AWD vehicle with 4 low and differential lock. Beast!

Absolutely flawless, never left me stranded. When you drive this LX you feel secure. NO speed wobble, no pull, stops on a dime. If you drive it conservatively, you will get decent gas mileage. If you need the power, you got it. I pulled a 29 foot Intrepid with this LX, no problem. Plenty of power to pass, at boat ramp, etc. The pearl white paint shines. No fading. I'd say the paint is very good, not perfect. Remember, this vehicle is 24 years old.

Couple of things about the LX470 that makes this thing really unique. Turning radius. I've never had a vehicle with as tight a turning radius as this thing. I've had many cars and trucks, none even came close to this LX. You can make a U turn on a 2 lane highway and not hit the curb or go off the roadway.

Air Ride suspension. Unlike the Landcruiser, the Lexus LX rides on air bags at all 4 corners. As we all know, there is no better ride than a bagged vehicle. Has 3 levels of suspension mode....comfort (softest ride), medium (good for all around) and Sport which is stiffer.

Ride height adjustment. The LX has 3 levels of ride height. The lowest level and highest level work only under 20 MPH. Once you hit 20 MPH, it adjusts to middle level. What is cool about this is backing up to a trailer. You can lower all the way down, back up until hitch ball is under trailer, then raise the car. Big plus when you are loading a trailer by your self.

Ok, now for all the good stuff:
Full power windows, all work. Power Sunroof, no leaks. Power outside mirrors with defrost.
The rear side windows flare out to act as exhaust for rear seats (smokers). These are power windows as well.
Cruise control works as should. All gauges work. This thing never, ever runs hot. Stays at half level of gauge and never moves over thousands of mile of driving. Radio is AM/FM, 6 CD changer and cassette. All speakers sound great.
No engine leaks of any kind. I have a nice paver driveway and nutty about cars leaking. Underneath of vehicle nice. Has been a Florida vehicle entire life. I bought it in Tampa.

Below are upgrades I've added to the stock vehicle:

> Fuel wheels with NITTO Grapplers. What a difference in ride.
> Borla Exhaust which added a nice performance note but not loud or obnoxious. This upgrade made a difference.
> Highest Grade 3M window tint
> Weather Tech Floor Mats and Rear Cargo Mat
> New LED headlights
> New LED bar
> New NGK coils, plugs, Mobile 1 oil only, religiously changed every 5k miles
> All 4 Brakes done less than 6 months ago, done at Toyota with OEM HP parts
> New serpentine belt in June 2021
> New drive shaft (Toyota would not replace kingpins without replacing whole drive shaft)
> Reese Class IV hitch with light plug

The bad:
> The tilt/tele function of steering wheel does not work. Stuck in up and in position. Never bothered me.
> Small rust spot on tailgate that was a dime size when I bought it and now size of a quarter. Bubbling, but still covered in paint.
> Driver seat has some tares but not bad. No foam coming out or anything.

If your looking for a family vehicle or even a truck, this is a great looking and reliable vehicle.
Has many functions in one decent size package.
You may be able to find one newer with less miles and money but you will inherit someone else's problems they have not addressed. You can get in this SUV and drive to California and back, no issues.
