Tiptronic transmission
Matching factory removable hardtop
Fully functioning power convertible soft top
Original Porsche factory wheels currently installed
Second set of wheels included (shown in most of the photos)
Clean title
Always garaged
Recently passed California smog
California registration
Recent transmission fluid service
Having the factory hardtop, convertible soft top, and two sets of wheels gives the car several completely different looks. It's a great 911 to actually drive and enjoy rather than something you're afraid to put miles on.
IMS Information
I've received a lot of questions regarding the IMS bearing, so I'll address that here.
The engine serial number is 14114. This is an early first-generation 996 3.4L M96.23 engine equipped with the serviceable double-row IMS bearing. According to LN Engineering, the M96.23 used the double-row bearing through engine number M 661 14164.
LN Engineering application information:
“Up to engine # M 661 14164 Carrera 996 3.4L (M96.23) – Double-row (serviceable)”
This engine is #14114, placing it before that changeover. The IMS bearing has not been replaced, and oil changes have never shown metal shavings or other indications of an IMS issue.
Why I'm Selling
I'm currently in the middle of purchasing a 20-acre property and won't have garage space for the Porsche. Otherwise, I'd be keeping it.
Trades: I'm open to considering a tractor, backhoe, compact tractor/loader, or similar equipment as a full or partial trade.
Serious buyers are welcome to message me with questions or to set up a time to see the car.
If the ad is still up, it's still available.
