Let's get a few things out of the way- I am no expert on Porsche's, so, if I don't get all of the details right, please bash me. From what I've heard, the 996, isn't the most loved in the Porche community, don't know why, but I love this car and most of what Porsche offers ! Yes, it only has two pedals- but, I actually enjoyed driving it and think it may appeal to those who can't drive a manual trans or don't feel like shifting ?

Car was bought by its current owner a little over a year ago, in his 80's and a Porsche enthusiast. Not wanting to mess with a manual transmission, but wanted a nice, clean and well cared for 911, with an automatic, this clean 996 fit the bill. He wasn't looking for a garage queen either, one with some miles and some good service history. Now is selling because of a pesky hip replacement that's affecting him getting in and out of the car and can no longer enjoy.

Car was repainted at some point, but the owner doesn't know how old the repaint is ? Paint is very clean and shows extremely well, but, upon close inspection, there are a couple minor touchups and paint chips. Very nice trim and glass. When the car was bought, it had " smoked " head and taillights, which, the owner didn't like and were replaced with, proper, new head and taillights. Driver, passenger, rear quarter and rear glass windows are tinted.

Interior is super clean with no signs of abuse, neglect or ever being smoked in. Dash, headliner, door panels, seat covers and carpet in really good shape, given the year and miles on the car. Driver's seat fits like a nicely, warn in baseball glove. Both power seats work, power windows work, all gauges work with no CELs or dash lights, aftermarket radio works, hvac controls work- including cold ac, power sunroof works, power mirrors work, signals, horn, front bonnet release / rear hood release work- everything works. Tiptronic Automatic Transmission engages easily. Snappy throttle response and excellent brake feel !

The 3.4L Flat Six-Cylinder fires right up and settles to smooth, burbly idle, with NO smoke or strange smells. The car comes with some documented service history, notably, engine gaskets, headbolts, water pump, o-rings, oil pump seal and fluid changes, brakes, filters, suspension done between 2018-2022, at 96k to 109k miles , by its last owner. Car was bought with upgraded 18' 5-spoke wheels, recently fitted with new tires.

I can't say enough good things about how nice and well kept this car is !! It runs, drives, shifts, brakes and tracks as good as it looks- even the pop up rear wing at highway speeds !! Weather looking for a nice driver or new to a Porsche, this car does not disappoint !
