The Panorama roof replacement part as of today retails for +shipping and tax, but dealers can't find them and used tend to be a nightmare.
When new, the Panorama was rare, few were built, because they were difficult to fabricate and they lost money on them as an option.
- one more reason, a SL like this is a very rare collector that will increase in value more rapidly.
Changes at MB in 2001-2 when Chrysler was coming into picture was the end of the real MB Bruno Sacco and the "cost plus" legacy. After 2000, the Sport SL1 AMG package was no longer a stand alone option.
