2001 VW Eurovan MV Weekender Pop Top Camper Van

The kids have outgrown the Westfalia pop-top, so our fabulous blue family member is ready for her next home and new adventures. This is the MV Weekender, which has the bigger lower bed, no mini-kitchen, and a Westfalia pop-top. We are the van’s third owners, having bought it in 2018 from a family in San Luis Obispo that had similarly outgrown it. They, apparently, had purchased it from the Colorado Rockies baseball team, who used it during spring training in Arizona to transport players and equipment. The Rockies are the reason the van has all leather seats, which is rare for the 2001 Eurovan. We have thorough maintenance records and the van has been maintained by a VW-specific mechanic.

We recently replaced the radio, as the original one had come to the end of its life (new one sounds so much better!). Everything else is original, including all curtains, the extra removable rear seat (not shown in pictures), rear bug screen, folding table, and underseat cooler box. We have a futon mattress to add to the flat-folding bench seat, making the sleeping area more comfortable. We’ve got a bike rack that we can throw in with it as well. Smog test successfully completed on 9/3/2024, and we put a brand new battery in it on 4/12/2025.

As for blemishes, having been parked outside for most of its life, the paint sealants on the hood and roof are peeling. There are some dings and tears in some of the interior fixtures, though everything including the fridge and table still work perfectly. The pop-top is in great shape, with a couple of small holes that have been patched. We have had a few electrical issues (brake lights staying on, previously mentioned radio, etc.), but aside from that, she runs great and handles well.
