DESCRIPTION:
2006 Toyota Tundra Access Cab SR5 2WD V6
Selling my Tundra, its an extremely dependable truck that's in good condition. This has the 4.0 V6 engine, which has almost the same horsepower as the 2000-2004 V8, but getting notably better gas milage. I get about 17mpg city and calculated 20mpg on a road trip last year. The V6 also has a timing chain instead of the timing belt that comes on the V8, so its one less thing to worry about replacing.
There is zero frame rust on this truck, and pretty much zero any other rust. It has a stereo with apple carplay and whatever the android equivalent is, and a great backup camera. The stereo has volume and tuning knobs, which it the biggest selling point in my opinion. The interior is in good condition, not flawless, but i've replaced most the little bits of 20 year old plastic that break over time. The exterior is only fair, it has some dents and dings, and the paint is chipping on the hood.
Everything in the pictures is included; the step rail, front bull bar, and custom headache rack.
I replaced the alternator and battery last year, and recently replaced the drive shaft center support bearing (carrier bearing). Pretty much every truck from this era has a wallowed out carrier bearing, but its a pain in the ass to replace so most people neglect it. Starter was replaced this year.
This is a great truck, I am only selling because my salvage title project truck (another tundra) is up and running, and I feel ridiculous owning two first gen tundras.
