2008 Toyota Sienna XLE AWD Low Mileage, Camper ( 4X4 ), Family, Cargo, Stealth Van - Vanlife (Carmichael)

We've had this 2008 Toyota Sienna XLE for six years. 
See our mechanic's report on the van. 

It runs great.
THE CLEAN TITLE IS IN OUR NAME.
It has great tires with a transferable warranty.
We'll smog it for California or discount for out of state.
Power: Doors, Windows, Mirrors, Seats, Cruise Control, Tilt Wheel, Bluetooth, Sun roof, Electric Leather Seats, Factory JBL speakers,
Front and Rear Air Conditioning.
Toyota reliability.148K miles. 
ABS.

Family Van: It has all the seats and can hold 7 passengers and cargo.

Cargo Van: Remove the middle seats, fold down the rear seats and the van can hold 4x8 sheets of plywood.
For more capacity remove the rear seats and that "trunk" can also serve as a giant toolbox. 
The seat latch anchors throughout can be used for tiedown points for safety. 
Coroplast inserts protect the van sidewalls whenever needed. 

A short digression about beds...
A good bed is essential. 
It makes sleep and romance better.  
For a night or two, seat cushions might be ok.
However, beds that come apart at the wrong time suck. 
Trifold mattresses and jigsaw cushions split with vigorous activity. 
The stealth and camper options below use a full length "multipurpose" mattress. 

Weekender Stealth Van:
Remove the middle seats, fold down the rear seats and place the low height metal floor levelers at the front.
Put the bed slats down, the mattress and the blackout window covers in. 
For quick trips, raising the mattress to air it out isn't necessary.
Enjoy your concert, festival or quick getaway..

Longer term Stealth Sleeper Van: 
Remove the middle seats, fold down the rear seats, put the aluminum bed runners in place with the leveler/spacer.
Put in the bed frame, slats, mattress, and blackout window covers in place, and insert the cover tabs. 
The taller bed frame has room for storage underneath, and lets the mattress air out.  

Camper Van: Remove the middle and rear seats, place the toolbox runner supports in the trunk storage area, put the aluminum bed runners in place with the leveler/spacer.
Put in the bed frame, slats, and mattress, then slide the entire bed forward on the runners. 
Put the emergency toilet, water tank, kitchen galley, dining box, and stove in the trunk, then slide the long table in.
Slide the entire bed assembly back over the trunk area, then store your camping gear in the front and rear storage space under the mattress.
Secure the entire load with the ratchet tie down.

Also Available All Electric option (+ ), 400 Watt portable flexible solar panel kit with Ecoflow Electric Generator, induction stovetop, kettle, fridge freezer. 
The generator has usb, 120, and 12-24Volt outlets, and plugs instantly into the solar panels, or quick charges in 85 minutes.
The panels fit in the included Thule Rooftop Cargo Carrier and leave plenty of room for sleeping bags, etc. 

The Situation:  We no longer need this car, and use it mostly as a loaner to family.
We've kept maintenance up at DeAnza auto where we've been going for over 20 years. 
I asked DeAnza to do a comprehensive visual check () to ensure that we resolve or disclose any known problems. 
You can see the results of that check (done 10/31/24) in the images. 
You are welcome to pay your own mechanic to check it out too. 

The Reality:
I've owned Toyota cars for 50 years and have never been unhappy with them.
This is a well used, but taken care of van, with well known Toyota reliability, luxury, and safety features.
It runs great, is very safe and has been very reliable, but it is 15 years old, has some scratches, and some idiosyncrasies.
A 2024 Sienna Van with the features of this one would cost over K, and this is less than 20% of that.

But it:
is a 2008
has 149K miles
has scratches and door dings
doesn't have that new car smell
has that save a boatload of cash smell....

The Deal:
Don't waste my time or yours.
The price is firm, not negotiable.
The car is not new, and has the challenges described above.
If you send a generic email asking if the car or vehicle is available I won't reply.
You must at least identify the kind of car it is, so that I know you are really interested.
If your email could be sent to any car ad on boatexportusa, it was probably generated by a computer, so I won't reply.
