DESCRIPTION:
This is a pearl white 2017 Infiniti Q50 with 3.0L V6 Twin Turbo engine. It does have a rebuilt title due to a previous crash and repairs made. The car looks good and the engine runs great, until it is driven about a 1/2 mile, when traction control and check engine light illuminate and there is sometimes a clicking sound on the front passenger side. The engine continues to run properly; however, the shifting becomes rough. The MIL is for the bank 1 exhaust camshaft sensor circuit issue. The sensor was replaced and nothing changed. Suspecting a wiring problem, I had it diagnosed and was told the timing chain had to be replaced. This doesn't make sense, since the engine runs perfectly until this sensor engages. I am unfortunately unable to fix the issue with my limited mechanical knowledge but do not believe the expense of a timing chain replacement is warranted. I have read several blog entries from other owners who had similar issues, but they seem to have had success with sensor swaps. Someone with skill and knowledge related to these Infiniti engines should be able to rectify the issue fairly easily and have a great car for a minimal investment. Please don't send me low-ball offers. I have already reduced the price significantly for quick sale.
