Once under way, clear 3k rpm and that almost quiet 911 idle sound transforms into a Boxer scream with an intoxicating symphony of menacing uproar that seems to say, “Let me loose, lets go to the track!”. No disappointments here. As for performance and handling, come on, it’s a modern day 911S. This is the quintessential sports car. The tenacious grip and the 1.09Gs it’s capable of producing, the perfectly direct connection between driver and road feedback, the easy to use Porsche launch control that will both amaze and make you giggle at the same time! The acceleration is so strong that you immediately begin hoping that the brakes work well….and this German does indeed possess great brakes….wonderful pedal feel and enough force to relieve your lungs of air and make your eyes strain.
